Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Excavation Equipment Operator/ Class A CDL Driver to join our dynamic construction team. This role combines the expertise of operating heavy excavation machinery with professional commercial truck driving, ensuring efficient, safe, and precise utility and excavation work across various construction projects. Duties Operate heavy construction machinery including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, backhoes, water trucks, dump trucks, and tankers to perform excavation, grading, utility installation, and site preparation tasks. Safely drive Class A commercial trucks to transport equipment, materials, and personnel between job sites in compliance with federal and state transportation regulations. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on construction machinery such as Caterpillar equipment and other heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety. Assist with utility locating to identify underground utilities before excavation begins, preventing damage and ensuring safety. Follow all safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and construction site protocols to maintain a secure work environment for all team members. Support construction utility work by performing tasks such as trenching, backfilling, grading, paving preparation, and site cleanup. Collaborate with project managers and crew members to execute project plans efficiently while adhering to construction schedules and quality standards. Requirements Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Valid 2A/1C MA hoisting License- RI Hoisting license a plus Proven experience operating excavation machinery including excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, backhoes, water trucks, dump trucks, and tankers in a construction setting. Strong mechanical knowledge for routine maintenance and troubleshooting of heavy equipment. Construction site experience with familiarity in utility work, grading, paving, and general excavation procedures. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures to ensure compliance at all times. Ability to perform construction grading accurately using heavy machinery; experience with Caterpillar equipment is preferred. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and following detailed instructions. Physical ability to operate heavy machinery safely for extended periods; willingness to perform manual tasks when necessary. Join us in building the future!
