Automated Side Load (ASL) CDL Driver

• Residential Cavossa Disposal Corporation is looking for an experienced, dependable CDL Driver to join our Residential team operating an Automated Side Load (ASL) trash truck.

This is a full-time, year-round position for someone who is comfortable with residential route work, frequent stopping and starting, and operating a truck from the right-hand side of the cab. Previous waste, refuse, or residential trash experience is strongly preferred. Schedule Monday

• Friday, year-round Every other Saturday from mid-May through mid-October Early morning start Because our routes service residentially zoned areas, the first residential toter cannot be tipped until 7:00 AM Overtime opportunities based on route and operational needs What You'll Do Operate an Automated Side Load (ASL) refuse truck on assigned residential routes Safely operate the truck from the right-hand driving position Perform frequent stop-and-go residential driving throughout the day Operate the automated arm to service residential trash toters Safely navigate residential neighborhoods, narrow streets, driveways, and other service areas Get in and out of the truck as needed to perform in-yard trash services, reposition toters, address service issues, or assist with collection Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections Communicate with Dispatch regarding route progress, service issues, blocked containers, contamination, or other customer concerns Maintain a safe, professional, and respectful presence in the neighborhoods we serve Follow all company, DOT, and safety requirements What We're Looking For Required Valid CDL Class A or B Valid DOT Medical Card Acceptable driving record Comfortable operating from the right-hand side of the vehicle Comfortable with repetitive start-and-stop driving Physically able and willing to get in and out of the truck throughout the route Reliable and able to report for early morning shifts Available to work every other Saturday from mid-May through mid-October Safety-focused and comfortable working independently Preferred Previous Automated Side Load (ASL) experience Previous residential trash/recycling collection experience Previous waste industry or refuse truck experience Familiarity with Cape Cod and surrounding residential areas Why Join Cavossa?
