Role:

Fastenal is seeking six energetic, dependable, and team-oriented full-time Driver DOT-CDL employees for its transportation team in Leominster, MA. Drivers will deliver products from Fastenal distribution centers to branches and customer locations using a late-model tractor-trailer or straight truck. Drivers will operate established routes, typically returning the same day, with an average of 10-12 stops. Trucks are pre-loaded by warehouse employees before departure, and drivers are responsible for unloading freight at each stop. No prior driving experience is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a tractor-trailer or straight truck on assigned routes
• Deliver products promptly and efficiently to branches and customer locations
• Unload freight by hand, pallet jack, or forklift
• Use a handheld scanner to manage deliveries
• Interact professionally with shipping, receiving, branch, and customer personnel
• Inspect equipment and report defects or maintenance issues
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and work area
• Follow all Department of Transportation and Fastenal safety regulations
• Maintain compliance with DOT Hours-of-Service requirements
• Drive interstate routes across state lines as needed
• Complete required environmental, health, safety, and sustainability training
• Participate in programs supporting workplace safety and sustainability
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required
• Minimum age: 21
• Commercial Driver?s License (CDL) or currently in the process of obtaining one
• Current Department of Transportation medical card or ability to obtain one
• Current Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain one
• Acceptable driving record under Fastenal requirements
• Knowledge of DOT regulations applicable to CDL drivers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and maneuver items weighing up to 150 pounds
• Ability and willingness to travel and drive interstate routes
• Ability to successfully complete required drug and alcohol screenings, road test, employment verification, physical examination, and background check
• Must demonstrate ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork
• English-language communication required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous professional driving experience
• Previous forklift operating experience
• Military veterans are encouraged to apply

Compensation and Schedule:

• Starting pay: \$72,000 per year, plus bonuses and incentives
• Biweekly pay with direct deposit
• Full-time, permanent position
• Third shift:

MON TUE WED THU SUN 2
