Overview Join our dynamic team as a Part-Time Tow Truck Operator and become a vital part of our roadside assistance and vehicle recovery services! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely towing, recovering, and transporting vehicles in various situations, ensuring prompt and professional service for our customers. Your mechanical aptitude and customer service skills will help you excel in a fast-paced environment where safety, efficiency, and reliability are paramount. This position offers flexible hours perfect for those looking to make a positive impact while balancing other commitments. Duties Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional models, to tow vehicles safely and efficiently Perform vehicle recovery towing, including accident scenes and breakdowns, adhering to cargo securement protocols Conduct basic vehicle troubleshooting and minor mechanical repairs to prepare vehicles for transport Load and unload vehicles with precision, ensuring safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks in accordance with safety standards Assist customers courteously, providing clear communication during towing or recovery processes Follow all safety procedures related to commercial truck driving and cargo securement to prevent accidents or damage Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, vehicle conditions, and incident reports for record-keeping purposes Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics and minor repairs Proven ability in commercial driving, including handling manual transmissions and operating tow trucks safely Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage conflicts professionally and calmly Knowledge of automotive repair procedures, vehicle mechanics for truck drivers, and basic vehicle troubleshooting Familiarity with cargo securement protocols and safe vehicle loading techniques on flatbed or tow trucks Ability to load & unload vehicles efficiently while maintaining safety standards Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members, customers, and emergency responders when necessary Embark on a rewarding journey where your technical skills meet your passion for helping others!
