Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dependable and experienced Commercial Driver's License class B (CDL) Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating commercial trucks to deliver home heating oil and efficiently, adhering to all relevant regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage various delivery tasks. The CDL Truck Driver will play a vital role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards. Duties Operate commercial trucks to transport goods over designated routes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations. Load and unload Heating oil (hazmat) following proper safety procedures. Comply with all DOT regulations, including hours of service, safety protocols, and documentation requirements. Safely handle hazardous materials (hazmat) and tanker loads, following all applicable safety guidelines. Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle maintenance records, and other required documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit. Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe operation of the vehicle at all times. Skills Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for hazmat and tanker operations. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, preferably with experience in delivery driving. Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards related to commercial transportation. Ability to handle loading and unloading procedures efficiently and safely. Strong attention to detail for vehicle inspections, documentation, and safety compliance. Excellent communication skills for coordination with dispatchers and clients. Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks related to loading/unloading cargo. Responsible attitude with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service. Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
