Job Description

TransForce Inc. seeks a reliable CDL A Intermodal Night Driver in Chicago. This full-time role hauls containers to and from rail yards, with local routes that get you home daily. You'll safely operate tractor trailers, complete pre and post trip inspections, and secure and verify container loads. Responsibilities include following FMCSA and company safety policies, maintaining accurate logs and paperwork, and communicating with dispatch on schedules, delays, and customer needs. Responsibilities Operate CDL A tractor trailer for local intermodal routes in Chicago Transport containers to and from rail yards and customer locations Perform thorough pre and post trip vehicle inspections Follow FMCSA, DOT, and company safety regulations at all times Secure, verify, and document container loads and deliveries Maintain accurate driver logs and required paperwork Communicate with dispatch regarding schedules, delays, and issues Provide professional, courteous service to customers Report equipment defects or safety concerns promptly Adhere to assigned night shift schedule and reliability standards Required Skills CDL Class A truck operation Intermodal/container hauling
