Duties Lead and supervise moving crews during loading, unloading, and transportation activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and efficient workflow. Operate various types of commercial vehicles, including box trucks and vans, following all DOT regulations and traffic laws. Safely load and unload items using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, material handling equipment, and proper lifting practices to prevent injury. Plan and execute delivery routes using mobile devices or GPS systems to optimize efficiency while maintaining punctuality. Ensure all cargo is secured properly for transit, adhering to weight handling standards and safe lifting practices. Communicate effectively with clients during deliveries or pickups to provide excellent customer service and address any concerns professionally. Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform routine inspections, report maintenance issues promptly, and keep accurate delivery logs. Skills Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in warehouse operations and material handling equipment operation. Commercial driving experience with a focus on box trucks, van drivers, or courier services; valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Experience in delivery driving with knowledge of route planning and adherence to traffic regulations. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following manual handling guidelines; comfortable with manual transmission vehicles. Strong customer service skills to interact positively with clients during deliveries or pickups. Knowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations related to commercial vehicle operation and weight handling in the workplace. Proficiency in using mobile devices for route navigation, documentation, or communication during daily tasks.
