Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. Working estimated 35 hours a week The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a strong understanding of truck operations, including manual transmission driving, and the ability to truck deliveries. Our Truck Drivers play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to safety regulations and company policies. Responsibilities Operate trucks to transport freight to various destinations safely and efficiently. Navigate assigned routes while maintaining compliance with traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality Maintain accurate records of logs of hours worked and mileage driven. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road. Ensure that all cargo is secured properly before transport to prevent damage during transit. Adhere to all company policies regarding safety practices and procedures. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience in route driving or as a delivery driver preferred. Familiarity with operating various types of trucks, Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety regulations. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
