Commercial Drivers License Driver
Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to join our sewer and drain cleaning company. We are based in Weymouth and work throughout Massachusetts. No prior experiance in drain cleaning needed. We will train. You will be responsible for safely operating a combination sewer vactor and jet truck along with other various other types of trucks and trailers to worksites. You will be trained to operate our machinery such as video camera inspection equipment and high pressure jet equipment among others. You will expected to be timely, professional, well groomed while maintaining the highest safety standards. You will need to be OSHA certified (we will supply the course). Good communication skills and personable is a must! Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles, including manual transmission trucks, across local and regional routes Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo integrity and safety Drive a variety of trailers such as refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump truck, and roll-off to meet delivery schedules Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load securement Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and route documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations Route driving efficiently to optimize delivery times while adhering to safety protocols and traffic laws Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly Requirements Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with necessary endorsements for operating different trailer types (e.g., refrigerated, tanker) Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on freight delivery; prior delivery driver experience is highly valued Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and familiarity with various trailer equipment such as flatbeds and dump trucks Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or other loading equipment when required Knowledge of route planning and driving regulations for commercial vehicles Strong attention to safety procedures and vehicle maintenance routines Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform duties that require standing or walking for extended periods Join our team as a CDL Driver where your skills will drive our success!
