Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Box Truck Driver working overnight shifts! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely operating a 26' box truck to deliver and pick up pallets of packages from Amazon warehouses and delivering them to US Post Offices, other Amazon warehouses, and assorted other locations, ensuring safe, timely, and accurate deliveries. Your enthusiasm and commitment to excellent customer service will help us maintain our reputation for reliability and professionalism. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced environment where your driving skills and attention to detail make a real difference. If you thrive on moving goods efficiently and enjoy working independently during overnight hours, this is the perfect role for you! A typical shift starts anywhere between 10 PM and 2AM. Shift durations range from 6 to 10 hours in length. Routes are typically comprised of 4 to 8 stops in the New England states. Duties Safely operate a 26' box truck (diesel or CNG) to deliver goods to various locations during overnight shifts Load and unload cargo using pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures Load, secure, and verify shipments accurately before departure Follow designated routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with contacts and clients upon delivery or pickup Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report any maintenance issues, and ensure the truck is in optimal condition for daily use Assist with warehouse tasks such as moving inventory, organizing shipments, and maintaining a clean work environment Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with box trucks or similar commercial vehicles and familiarity with liftgate operation Strong knowledge of route driving and navigation during overnight hours Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks safely and efficiently Experience operating pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment is a plus Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and possession of a DOT Medical Card required Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques necessary for load & unload tasks Basic Requirements & Location At least 21 years of age Valid U.S. driver's license & eligible to work in the U.S Possession of a DOT Medical Card Consent to a pre-employment drug test and motor vehicle record check We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
