RESPONSIBILITIES
The Laboratory Driver/Sampler is responsible for collecting and picking up samples and dropping off supply orders to customers in the Greater Boston area as needed. With a starting point from our laboratory in Salisbury, MA, you will be traveling as far: North as Manchester, NH and Portsmouth, NH West as Winchendon, MA and Sturbridge, MA South as Raynham, MA East, as Gloucester MA You will be responsible for accurately completing the following tasks in a timely manner: Vehicle Preparedness•Before Starting Routes Check weather and traffic reports Make sure gas level is sufficient Cool (summer) or clean off (winter) Equip with coolers, ice packs, supplies, route binder, water, and emergency items Pair cell phone with company vehicle for hands-free phone communication + GPS Review and finalize schedule with Logistics Manager Scheduling Complete assigned appointments in timely manner, and in the order in which they are assigned Allow for flexibility for as needed and rush appointments, if time permits Tracking Track appointments on phone app as completed (our staff will be regularly tracking your location on route) Login samples and temperatures upon return to lab for Lab Technicians Vehicle Management Keep vehicle clean at all times Take car for maintenance appointments as needed Communication Give 24 hour notice for time off whenever possible Answer simple customer questions or direct customers to appropriate staff members Inform Logistics Manager of any important information related to customer locations and appointments Compliance Comply with state driving laws Comply with company policies
