In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating specialized 7D vehicles to provide reliable transportation services. Your energetic approach and excellent communication skills will ensure passengers -specifically including children, experience safe, comfortable, and friendly rides. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the community while demonstrating your driving expertise and customer service talents. Duties Safely operate 7D vehicles, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Transport passengers to various destinations, including schools, residence, program sites, and field trips Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, providing support for those with development challenges or special needs. Maintain a clean and well-functioning vehicle by conducting pre- and post-trip inspections and reporting mechanical issues promptly. Communicate effectively with passengers, colleagues, and dispatchers in English and multilingual settings to ensure smooth operations. Manage behavior and provide a welcoming environment for children, including those requiring additional care or attention. Keep accurate records of trips, passenger interactions, and vehicle maintenance logs in writing as provided. Experience Proven experience in safe driving, with required background check (CORI, SORI, and BRC) Strong knowledge of driving safety protocols and mechanical basics related to vehicle maintenance. Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse communities. Experience working with children, or individuals with special needs demonstrates your capacity for compassionate care. Familiarity with behavior management techniques to handle challenging situations professionally. Prior childcare experience is advantageous for engaging young passengers effectively. Ability to demonstrate patience, reliability, and excellent customer service skills in fast-paced environments.
