2991423531-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Orica is seeking a safety-focused CDL Class B Driver for our Templeton, MA location in the Mining & Quarrying industry. In this Transportation & Logistics role, you will safely transport explosive products and related materials to customer sites, complete accurate delivery documentation, and perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks. You will adhere to strict safety and environmental standards, follow route and dispatch instructions, and collaborate closely with operations and field teams. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL Class B commercial vehicles to transport explosives and related products to customer sites Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and perform basic preventive maintenance checks Handle, secure, and transport hazardous materials in full compliance with DOT and company regulations Load and unload products and equipment at Orica and customer locations using appropriate tools and methods Complete all required delivery documentation, driver logs, and electronic records accurately and on time Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customer contacts regarding schedules, delays, and site conditions Adhere to all federal, state, local, and Orica safety, environmental, and security policies and procedures Identify and report safety hazards, incidents, and equipment issues; participate in safety meetings and training Provide professional, courteous service at customer sites and represent Orica's values and safety culture Support other transportation and logistics tasks as needed to ensure efficient and reliable service Required Skills CDL Class B commercial driving Safe operation of commercial trucks DOT regulations and compliance Hazardous materials handling and transportation Vehicle inspection and basic preventive maintenance Tanker and bulk material handling (preferred) Forklift and loading equipment operation (preferred) Defensive driving and route planning Recordkeeping and electronic logging Basic mechanical aptitude Hazard recognition and risk assessment Customer service and communication Time management and reliability Adherence to safety and environmental procedures
