Scoop It Up is a growing pet waste removal company serving Greater Boston and MetroWest, and we are hiring a dependable Route Technician to join our team. This is an active, outdoor route position. You will drive a company vehicle from property to property, service residential yards, and make sure each customer receives thorough, reliable service every visit. We are looking to hire immediately . Your responsibilities will include:
Driving a company vehicle along your assigned route Thoroughly removing dog waste from residential yards Following route schedules and customer-specific instructions Using a consistent search pattern to make sure the entire yard is serviced Performing a final quality check before leaving each property Making sure gates are properly closed and secured Communicating professionally with customers and management Keeping company vehicles, tools, and equipment clean and organized Assisting with larger initial yard cleanups during our busy season Quality Matters Our customers expect us to show up consistently and complete the job correctly every visit. This position requires someone who can work efficiently without becoming careless . You will work independently for most of the day, but you will be expected to follow our service process, pay attention to details, and maintain a consistent standard across every property on your route. We are looking for someone who takes pride in doing the job correctly even when nobody is standing over them. Schedule Our normal workweek is Monday through Thursday. A fifth workday may occasionally be available for employees who want additional hours. During our busy onboarding season in March and April , some Friday availability will be required to help with new customer initial cleanups and increased workload. For most of the year, this position offers a consistent 4-day workweek and 3-day weekend . What We're Looking For Previous pet waste removal experience is not required . We will train the right person.
You should be:
Extremely dependable and punctual Hard-working and detail-oriented Comfortable working independently for most of the day Able to maintain quality while performing repetitive work Comfortable around dogs of all sizes and energy levels Comfortable handling pet waste every day Comfortable working outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and changing weather Able to walk for extended periods and remain physically active throughout the day Able to lift at least 30 pounds Professional when working on customer properties Able to follow routes, instructions, and company procedures Comfortable using a smartphone for routing and work-related communication Someone who takes ownership of their work Requirements Valid driver's license Clean driving record Ability to pass a background check Working smartphone Reliable transportation to and from our Walpole, MA location Availability Monday through Thursday Some Friday availability required during March and April No smoking during work hours, in company vehicles, or on customer properties Experience That Transfers Well Previous experience in any of the following is helpful, but not required : Landscaping Lawn care Property maintenance Route delivery Package delivery Pest control Field service Outdoor labor General labor Cleaning or janitorial work This Job Is a
