Delivery Driver

SEASONAL POSITION

: Great job for Active Retiree who wants to work but have the summers off! We are classified as agricultural. Please read up on the agricultural Hours of service rules. These are considered touch freight positions. A Tandem axle day cab or sleeper w/53' reefer box or 26' box truck, both with lift gates. You would be driving 4-5 days a week or more. Starting pay $28.00 hr. and up based on experience. There would be a slight possibility of overnight runs in a sleeper or hotel. Most runs are local(DC, MD, DE, VA, PA) with some longer day runs to Virginia Beach to Pittsburg. All drivers leave from Davidsonville MD. This is not a dedicated route position. Different routes daily some with multiple stops. This is considered a touch freight position . This position requires the use of a lift gate for most of the deliveries. Driver will need to be able to move carts weighing up to 200 lbs. Outstanding customer service skills are a must. Driver will help customer unload carts once off the truck, if so requested. Driver is also responsible for all daily paperwork for customer and for truck. Driver must be at least 21 years old and have at least 1 year of Class A experience.

Needs to have:

Current DOT medical card and pass drug test. Prefer no felony convictions in the past 10 years (we deliver to military bases) but will take into consideration. Current copy of Driving Record. Schedule and start times are based on deliveries for the week. Usually Tuesday thru Friday (some Mondays and Saturdays) Start time can be as early as 2:00am-4:00am.
