Job Responsibilities Operate heavy-duty wreckers, rotators, and recovery vehicles to tow and recover commercial vehicles and equipment. Perform accident recovery, winching, uprighting, and roadway clearance operations. Respond to emergency roadside assistance and recovery calls on a 24/7 basis, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of towing and recovery equipment. Secure vehicles and loads using chains, straps, rigging equipment, and specialty recovery tools. Assess recovery scenes and develop safe recovery plans to minimize risk and vehicle damage. Maintain accurate service records, tow tickets, inspection reports, and incident documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, law enforcement, emergency responders, and transportation personnel. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, traffic laws, company procedures, and safety requirements. Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of trucks, equipment, and work areas. Assist with equipment inspections, repairs, and inventory management as needed. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A. Minimum of 2 years of heavy towing, recovery, trucking, or related experience preferred. Strong knowledge of heavy-duty towing and recovery techniques. Ability to operate heavy wreckers, rotators, winches, and recovery equipment safely. Clean driving record with the ability to meet company insurance requirements. Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures. Ability to work flexible schedules and participate in on-call rotations.
