Overview Join our dynamic team as a Box Truck Driver OTR (Over the Road) and embark on exciting long-haul routes that connect cities across the country! This role offers an energetic and rewarding driving experience, where you will be responsible for safely transporting freight using a 26ft box truck. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, logistics cargo handling, and adherence to safety regulations will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers across long-distance routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Plan and follow efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules and fuel consumption. Every once in a while, you will be expected to Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques. Conduct pre-trip inspections of trucks to verify mechanical condition, safety features, and compliance with safety protocols before each trip. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route adjustments, or safety concerns during over-the-road driving routes. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving over long distances. Familiarity with 26 ft box truck is highly desirable. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and hazard communication standards. Experience with truck loading/unloading procedures. Ability to handle logistics cargo handling efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
