CDL-A Delivery Driver Job Responsibilities:
As a Class A CDL Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering fresh produce and other products to customers along assigned routes. Drive a tractor-trailer/Class A commercial vehicle safely and professionally. Perform touch freight and unloading at customer locations. Load, secure, transport, and unload products safely. Provide professional and courteous customer service at each delivery location. Follow assigned delivery routes, schedules, and company procedures. Safely operate vehicles with manual transmission . Maintain accurate delivery documentation and paperwork. Follow all applicable DOT, FMCSA, and transportation safety regulations . Conduct required vehicle inspections and promptly report safety or maintenance concerns. Maintain a safe driving record and protect company equipment and customer products. Communicate effectively with dispatch, management, customers, and other team members. Adapt to changing delivery schedules, routes, and business needs.
CDL-A Driver Requirements:
Valid Class A CDL license . Must be 21 years of age or older . Valid Virginia driver's license . Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) . Ability to operate a manual transmission tractor-trailer . Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) for the previous 3 years . Knowledge of
DOT/FMCSA
rules, regulations, and safe commercial vehicle operation . Ability to safely operate a tractor-trailer in various traffic and weather conditions. Good knowledge of local roads, highways, routes, and map reading/navigation . Strong communication and customer service skills . Dependable, responsible, safety-conscious, and professional. Strong work ethic and willingness to work as part of a team. Ability to understand and follow established and updated company policies and procedures. Ability to work in and adapt to changing business conditions and delivery schedules. Must successfully complete required pre-employment physical, drug screening, and employment verification in accordance with applicable
FMCSA/DOT
requirements.
