Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and reliable Box Truck Driver to join our dynamic Trucking team! In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating box trucks to transport freight, deliver goods, and support our distribution operations. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route navigation, and cargo handling will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Safely operate a 26-foot box truck on local and interstate delivery routes. Pick up and deliver general freight and packages on schedule. Load, unload, and secure cargo using appropriate equipment and safe lifting techniques. Operate the liftgate and pallet jack safely. Inspect freight and report shortages, damage, or delivery issues. Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; promptly report mechanical problems. Follow traffic laws, DOT/FMCSA safety requirements, and company policies. Maintain accurate driving and work-hour records using an ELD. Complete delivery paperwork and obtain signatures or proof of delivery. Communicate with dispatch, customers, and receiving locations about arrival times and delays. Keep the truck's cab and cargo area clean and organized. Report accidents, injuries, and equipment damage immediately. Work varying schedules based on assigned routes and delivery needs. Upon successful completion of the probationary period, employees will be eligible for semi-annual and annual pay reviews, with potential raises based on performance and company growth Qualifications Must be at least 21 years old for interstate driving. Valid driver's license appropriate for the assigned truck; CDL not required for this position. Current DOT medical card or ability to obtain one before driving. Meet applicable FMCSA driver qualifications and company insurance requirements. Pass driving-record checks, required safety-history checks, and a company road test or accepted equivalent. Pass company-required non-DOT drug screening . Ability to safely load, unload, and secure freight using a liftgate, pallet jack, and other equipment. Read and speak English sufficiently to understand road signs, communicate with officials, and complete required records. Follow hours-of-service requirements and operate an ELD. Dependable, punctual, and able to communicate professionally with customers and dispatch. Available for varying schedules and interstate travel; please provide your availability.
