TGR Transport drivers have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include: Maintaining safety while driving by following traffic laws, maintaining awareness of other vehicles around them, and exercising caution during hazardous weather conditions Performing pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are safe for use on the road Unloading and loading cargo or materials from trucks or trailers using hand tools or forklifts, cranes, or other equipment Communicating with dispatch regarding delivery schedules and changes in plans Performing routine maintenance on vehicles to ensure they are safe for use on the road, including checking fluid levels, changing tires, and replacing brakes Following directions from a dispatcher to deliver goods to different locations throughout the county. Driving trucks to move cargo between locations according to a schedule and within legal limits set by federal, state, and local regulations
