Overview Do you like to drive trucks, pull trailers, & have a friendly personality, & a heart for service? We'd like to chat! A roll off dumpster driver has the unique position to meet many people, communicate with clients, & enjoy the freedom of the open road! We have an opening for a driver, and are looking to expand. Do you like to have a rolling office window, with plenty of sunshine!? Join our team as a Local Roll-Off Driver and become a vital part of efficient waste management operations! In this energetic role, you will operate specialized roll-off trucks to transport and dispose of residential and commercial waste materials. Your expertise will ensure safe, timely deliveries and pickups, contributing to cleaner communities and sustainable waste solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity for sometimes physical, & outdoor work, and lots of driving within a never boring-always changing environment where safety and customer service are top priorities. Responsibilities Safely operate roll-off trucks, including hook lift & trailer varieties, adhering strictly to traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safety protocols. Load and unload waste containers efficiently using mechanical tools such as hooklift & hydraulic systems. Drive route-specific trucks to designated locations, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries while maintaining accurate logs of all activities. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic mechanical checks, and report any maintenance needs to ensure optimal truck performance. Interact professionally with customers during pickups and drop-offs, providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns courteously. Follow hazardous materials regulations when handling special waste loads and ensure compliance with all safety standards during outdoor work activities. Maintain detailed records of routes driven, loads transported, and safety inspections completed for accountability and operational efficiency. Requirements CDL or non-CDL applicable. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially within municipal or solid waste management sectors a plus. Mechanical knowledge related to garbage trucks or heavy-duty vehicles for basic troubleshooting and maintenance checks. Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly while following safety protocols; outdoor work experience is highly valued. Excellent driving skills with defensive driving techniques; route driving experience is a plus. Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in diverse situations. Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
