MTM Transit, in partnership with Allegan County, is looking for both Full Time & Part Time, CDL Drivers with Passenger Endorsement to join our team in Allegan, MI. We currently have training classes that start every few weeks!

Experience, Education & Certifications:
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent Must be 21 years of age or older Minimum 5 years driving history Must possess a valid Michigan Class C CDL/Preferred Passenger endorsement driver's license or ability to obtain No suspensions or revocations in the past 36 months (This does not pertain to any commercial or CDL downgrades.) No convictions of any six point violation in last 24 months No more than four points on your driving record No DUI or DWI convictions within the last 10 years Must pass criminal background check investigation Must pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening Valid authorization to work in the United States Must provide a resume with a minimum of 10 years work history
Skills:
Ability to use a tablet, GPS, two-way radio, or other electronic device Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality Ability to communicate with others and comprehend instructions Ability to understand highway traffic signs, signals, maps, manifests, and schedules Ability to obtain knowledge of FTA, ADA, and DOT regulations Familiarity with the main roadways and major highways in the service area
What You'll Do:
Provide safe and reliable transportation Demonstrate excellent defensive driving skills Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders Must assist with passenger loading and unloading from vehicle Must assist with any mobility device and securement as required for safety protocols Ensure the on-time pick-up and drop off of the customer Demonstrates understanding and sensitivity to the needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities Complete thorough vehicle pre-trip, post-trip, and DVI inspections as required Complete paperwork as required Utilize tablets or electronic devices as required MTM Transit is Proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer MTM Transit is an equal opportunity employer who welcomes diversity and values the ways in which we are different.
