Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dependable Box Truck Driver to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a box truck to deliver freight and goods across various routes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route navigation, and cargo handling will be vital to maintaining our high standards of service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be an essential part of our distribution network, supporting the seamless movement of freight while adhering to all safety and regulatory guidelines. pay is 20% of each load Responsibilities Safely operate a box truck, including manual transmission vehicles, on local and over-the-road (OTR) routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload freight using proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured correctly for transport. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules and optimize travel time. Transport refrigerated trailers when necessary, maintaining proper temperature controls for perishable goods. Handle hazardous materials and dangerous goods in accordance with hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat), including proper documentation and safety procedures. Load, secure, and unload logistics cargo, including freight such as flatbed loads or tanker shipments, with attention to safety protocols. Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle inspection reports, and compliance documentation throughout each shift. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving with a focus on safety and efficiency. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for transporting dangerous goods. Skilled in operating various types of trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated trucks. Ability to handle manual handling tasks safely during load & unload operations. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments. Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures to ensure proper loading/unloading practices.
