Job Description

Overview This position is responsible for delivering and unloading bulk and packaged goods to customer locations. Drivers will be home every night and no weekend work. Responsibilities Operate delivery vehicle safely Obey all guidelines as required by DOT and Rowleys Deliver freight, dried goods, and bulk to customers Pick up return merchandise from customers Pick up merchandise from vendors Partner with Logistics on suggested route changes, improvements, etc. Communicate with Logistics and/or Credit Manager about any customer concerns Load, secure, transport, and unload materials safely and efficiently Complete delivery paperwork, logs, and electronic documentation accurately Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Communicate professionally with customers, and warehouse staff Competencies Communication Self-motivated Timeliness Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift up to 75 pounds routinely throughout assigned work schedule as well as roll a 55-gallon drums and carry/move freight on uneven surfaces. The employee must be capable of pulling and pushing large skids with the assistance of an electric pallet jack. The employee must be able to climb steps in and out of a truck cab. The employee will work in both warm and cold conditions. Additionally, the employee must maintain a medical card, by passing a DOT physical prior to hire and periodically as mandated by DOT. Required Experience CDL A with airbrakes 1 year driving experience 21+ years old
Preferred Experience:
HazMat endorsement (company will assist with cost to obtain) Tanker endorsement (company will assist with cost to obtain) Electric pallet jacks Liftgates Hours This is a full-time hourly position. Schedules vary based on delivery schedule. Dress Code Company provided uniform and steel-toed/composite boots with annual boot and glove stipend.
