Job Description

Job Summary:
The Delivery Driver/Customer Service Yard Associate will move parts, goods, and other merchandise from one location to another and will perform general stocking labor including moving freight, stock, and other materials, in addition to assisting customers in the yard.
Duties/Responsibilities :
  • Loads delivery vehicle with building material orders scheduled for delivery.
  • Delivers building materials to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.
  • Picks up materials from jobsites/vendors as needed, including items to be returned, company orders, and other items as requested.
  • Maintains basic records of truck mileage and deliveries made.
  • Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor.
  • Assists in general yard duties when delivery route is completed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to drive safely.
  • Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
  • Ability to maintain basic logs and records.
  • Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.
  • Able to remain professional and courteous at all times.
Education and Experience :
  • Valid Class A CDL driver's license and clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather.
As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products are delivered safely and on time to our valued customers. You will be responsible for operating a delivery vehicle, loading and unloading products, and providing exceptional customer service.
