3007324980-2 Apply for this job now Job Description GFL Environmental seeks a safety-focused CDL B Route Driver to collect, transport, and dump solid and recycling waste on assigned routes. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, safely operate packer or roll-off trucks, and follow all DOT and company regulations. Responsibilities include interacting professionally with customers, documenting service issues, and reporting hazards or equipment concerns. You'll work closely with dispatch and route supervisors, support environmental compliance, and maintain a clean vehicle. Responsibilities Operate CDL B waste collection truck on assigned residential and commercial routes Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks Collect, load, transport, and dump solid waste and recyclables safely Follow all DOT, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies Communicate with dispatch and supervisors regarding route status and issues Provide courteous service and resolve basic customer concerns on route Document service exceptions, incidents, and equipment defects accurately Maintain clean, orderly vehicle and work area Report hazards, near-misses, and safety concerns promptly Support training and continuous improvement of route efficiency Required Skills CDL B commercial driving Route navigation and time management Safe operation of waste collection trucks DOT regulations compliance Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance Use of on-board computers or route tablets Customer service communication Knowledge of local traffic and disposal sites Load securement and safe dumping Incident and hazard reporting
