Overview Join our dynamic team as a Long Haul Truck Driver and take on the exciting challenge of transporting freight across extensive over-the-road (OTR) routes. In this vital role, you will operate tractor-trailers, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods across various regions. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and commitment to excellent service will keep our supply chain moving efficiently. This position offers the opportunity to travel, experience diverse routes, and be part of a dedicated logistics team committed to excellence. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers, following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Plan and execute efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel efficiency Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in compliance with FMCSA regulations Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips; report any mechanical issues promptly for maintenance Deliver freight to various locations across long-distance routes while adhering to safety standards Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route adjustments, or unforeseen delays Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on long-haul routes and route driving across multiple states or regions Knowledge of trucking regulations including FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation) Hands-on experience with manual transmission trucks Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling, truck loading/unloading procedures, and securement techniques for various freight types Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) appropriate for tractor-trailer operation Ability to navigate using GPS systems efficiently while managing time effectively on extended OTR routes Embark on an excellent paying career that combines adventure with professionalism.
