Job Description

G & J Site Solutions, Inc. is hiring full-time, seasonal Equipment Operators/CDL Drivers to join their Guardrail Crew in Hancock, Michigan. A position with G & J is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on construction work, likes working outdoors, and is willing to travel to different job sites. Our projects include turf restoration, landscaping, irrigation installation and maintenance, and guardrail installation on private, state-funded, and federally funded projects across Northeastern Wisconsin and Northern Michigan. We are looking for someone with equipment operator experience and a Class A CDL who has experience installing guardrail, or someone with strong equipment operator experience who is willing and capable of learning the guardrail installation process.
WHAT WE OFFER.
$24.00
  • $30.
00 or more per hour starting pay based on experience. PLUS per diem for travel-related time, lodging, meals, and related expenses. Wages for work on State or Federally funded projects may be paid at a corresponding Davis-Bacon wage that can be up to $56.26 per hour or higher. Year-end bonus. Health insurance with employer premium contribution and
AFLAC. 401
(k) retirement plan. Paid sick time. Growth and training opportunities. Seasonal, full-time Monday-Friday position working Spring-December. Schedules may flex based on company needs and could include an occasional Saturday.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
Equipment operator experience required. Experience operating construction and guardrail installation equipment, including trucks, trailers, skid steers, loaders, excavators, post-driving equipment, and related hand and power tools. Class A Commercial Driver's License required. Guardrail installation experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right person with strong operator experience, a good work ethic, and the ability to learn. Comfortable performing heavy physical labor, including lifting, carrying materials, loading and unloading equipment, and working on active construction job sites. Able to work outdoors in varying weather and job site conditions. Willing and available to travel to job sites, including occasional overnight stays. Safety-minded, dependable, and able to work well both individually and as part of a crew. Able to help install guardrail, inspect and load equipment, maintain clean and organized job sites, and support the crew wherever needed. Michigan Driver's License and clean driving record required. Ability to successfully pass a pre-hire drug and alcohol screening.
