Job Description

Sunrise Acres Egg Farms is a family-owned egg farm located in Hudsonville, Michigan. Sunrise Acres was started by Marvin and June Patmos with 100 chickens in 1949. Marv's two sons took over day -to-day operations in the 1980′s. Today the third generation of the family is learning to operate the family business. Sunrise Acres now houses over 2 million very well cared for chickens that produce high-quality eggs. Fleet Driver

Job Overview:

The Sunrise Acres Fleet drivers are important members of the logistics and transportation team at Sunrise Acres Egg Farms. The fleet drivers are the CDL licensed team members whom help transport finished egg products from the farm to various customers in the Detroit and Chicago areas.

Jobs and Responsibilities:

Make deliveries of finished egg products to various customer, driving in a manner to avoid damage to finished egg products. Comply with all local, state and federal regulations including DOT and comply with all associated driving laws. Drive Sunrise Acres owned fleet trucks and trailers, keeping them maintained and reporting maintenance concerns, including the reefer trailers. Load and unload finished egg products according to customer orders into reefer trailers. Transport finished egg products in proper refrigeration temperatures, and report refrigeration temperature related issues. Accurately complete all associated record keeping such as fuel logs, documents associated with food safety and handling bills. Keep trailers, equipment, storage coolers and work spaces clean and sanitary per food safety requirements. Requirements Current CDL License 2-5 years of previous driving experience (preferred) Ability to operate electric pallet jack to load and unload trailers Ability to periodically lift up to 55 pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend and twist for lengthy periods of time to load and unload trailers

Hours:

Monday through Friday- variable shift times (will discuss in interview process) Home everyone night!
