We're hiring a Ready-Mix Driver to join County Materials in Ironwood, MichiganJoin our team and earn a $1,500 sign-on bonus!
Bonus is awarded after completing six (6) months of continuous employment.
Must possess a Class B or A CDL license with air brake endorsement.
Maintain an active DOT qualification.
Minimum 2 years of driving experience required; will train drivers in Ready-Mix procedures.
Ability to perform well in a "Team" environment.

Job Summary:
A ReadyMix Driver is responsible for transporting freshly mixed concrete from the batching plant to construction sites in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. This position plays a critical role in maintaining concrete quality from plant to pour. ReadyMix Drivers must understand basic construction site procedures, follow all safety and DOT requirements, and deliver excellent customer service. Drivers are also responsible for monitoring and adjusting concrete consistency as needed, maintaining a clean mixer truck, and supporting plant and yard operations.Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Deliver readymix concrete from the batching plant to construction and customer job sitesDemonstrate professional customer service while interacting with contractors, customers, and site personnelPerform daily preventative maintenance on both the truck and the plant/yard areasClean the ReadyMix truck between loads using water hoses to ensure proper concrete qualityComplete pretrip and posttrip vehicle inspections using an electronic tabletVisually inspect and monitor concrete mix consistency during transport and prior to unloadingEnsure all electronic delivery tickets and damage waivers are properly signedConfirm payment collection and return documentation to the plant as requiredExercise good judgment regarding job site access, unloading locations, and truck operationPour leftover concrete into bin blocks or designated areas according to company proceduresWear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, including steeltoe boots, hard hat, and eye and ear protectionFill bins at the plant as part of daily production operationsFollow turnbyturn directions provided on the tablet for assigned deliveriesMaintain positive customer relationships by acting in a professional and courteous mannerOperational & Maintenance Responsibilities:
Track truck operating hours accuratelyGrease assigned truck every 100 operating hours; ensure spare trucks are greased before useChip hardened concrete from inside the drum using approved tools (air hammer, 3lb or 4lb hammer)Assist with plant and yard maintenance, including sweeping, cleaning, and upkeepHelp maintain cleanliness of plant facilities, including bathrooms, breakrooms, floors, and garbage areasParticipate in yard pours, including cleaning and sweeping afterwardRead, review, and sign weekly Safety Data Sheets (SDS)Stay current on all posted notices, procedures, and safety updatesTraining & Compliance:
Attend the required annual Drivers' MeetingComplete Forklift and Loader Training every three (3) yearsFollow all company safety policies, DOT requirements, and operational proceduresCOUNTY Core Competencies:
