About us Schoolcraft County Transit Authority is a small business in Manistique, MI. We are professional, fast-paced, customer-centric and our goal is provides safe, efficient, reliable transportation for all residents of Schoolcraft County. Transit has operated in Schoolcraft County for over 45 years. We provide on-demand service, which is door to door service at the time scheduled. .

- Operate transit vehicle on a demand response route, adhering to scheduled times and dispatch directions and in accordance with federal, state, and local rules, regulations, and laws.
- Assisting special needs of customers onto and off transit vehicles. Assisting all disabled passengers as required by SCTA transit policies.
- Maintain daily records as required by SCTA, summaries, trouble and miscellaneous reports.
- Assist in accident and incident reporting as well as customer concerns. Respond to emergency requests for assistance by notification of police, fire or ambulance as needed.
- Responsible for following appropriate schedule; provide reliable, expert service and enforce rules related to safe transit operation in all weather conditions.
- Maintain cleanliness of transit vehicle and facility, including but not limited to: bus washing, mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, and cleaning windows, etc..
- Perform back up Dispatching as needed
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Obtain a Chauffeur's License at time of hire
