Schneider Tire Outlet is hiring a transfer driver, with a route from Marne, MI to Burton MI. The right candidate will have the following qualifications: Valid chauffeur's license and clean driving record required. Must meet all DOT physical requirements as applicable. Previous commercial driving or warehouse experience preferred but not required. Experience using handheld tablets or electronic reporting systems preferred. Forklift / hi-lo certification preferred; training may be provided. Safe driving skills in varying weather, traffic, and time-of-day conditions (including night shift operations). Strong time management and ability to meet transfer schedules. Professional and safety-focused work attitude. Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.

Pay/Hours:

$19/hour plus $2 shift premium on all hours worked. Sunday - Thursday, 3:30pm-12am

Transfer Driver Responsibilities:

Safely operate company vehicles (under 26,000 lbs. GVW or applicable DOT classification) to transport tires and other inventory between distribution centers. Load, unload, and secure tires and other products on transfer vehicles to ensure safe transport. Assist warehouse teams with staging, organizing, and preparing transfer loads for shipment. Use a handheld tablet device to complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections, vehicle condition reports, and operational documentation. Verify load accuracy by comparing product against transfer documentation and reporting discrepancies. Ensure proper handling and placement of tires and materials to prevent damage during transport. Support warehouse operations when not driving, including unloading incoming transfers, organizing inventory, and general warehouse tasks. Operate company vehicles safely in compliance with all traffic laws, DOT regulations (as applicable), and company safety policies. Perform routine vehicle inspections and monitor equipment condition (fluids, tires, lights, brakes, etc.). Report mechanical issues, delivery delays, accidents, or other incidents to management promptly. Maintain accurate electronic logs and records accurately. Communicate effectively with warehouse leadership regarding transfer status, delays, or inventory concerns. Maintain clean, organized, and secure vehicles and work areas. \Maintain a clean, organized, and professional vehicle at all times. Perform other related duties as assigned. Drive transfer truck to Burton location and back to Marne Prepare truck for operation by inspecting general condition; checking fluid levels and tire pressure, etc. and report repairs needed. Validating adherence to roadability standards by filling out truck inspection form. Loads trucks and secure items on the truck. Deliver items by identifying destinations; unloading items; maintaining schedule. Maintain delivery, truck, and driving records by obtaining receipt acknowledgments and completing driver log. Loading and unloading tires in warehouse.
