General Responsibility:
Responsibly loads, unloads, handles and cares for company property and abides by all federal, state, local and company laws and regulations. Essential Functions include but are not limited to: General
  • To implement and adhere to all written policies and philosophies of National Composites and subsidiaries
  • Assist with logistics of unloading and loading vehicle to prepare for delivery and drop-off
  • Maintain safe, sanitary, orderliness and cleanliness environment / vehicle at all times
  • Alert supervisor of any concerns that may arise
  • Accurately follow the correct route; use maps, GPS, and directions to locate destination prior to leaving facility to and from
  • Present positive image in community
  • Drive defensively to ensure safety
  • Conduct and maintain weekly and monthly vehicle checks and report results to Supervisor (i.e. brakes, lights, etc.)
  • Properly fill fluids on necessary basis
  • Continually assess environment for potential safety hazards; take precautions conscientiously and consistently follow safety procedures
  • Understanding that company vehicles are to be used for driving to or from a job site NOT for personal transportation to any other location unless you receive authorized by the owner
  • Visitors on-site (in vehicles) will be prohibited
  • Complete all written documentation in a neat and timely manner o A Vehicle Binder will be used to maintain receipts for gas, vehicle maintenance and other documentation required by the company and/or the state o With each gas purchase, a receipt must be obtained and filed properly o Supervisor will review binder on monthly basis and submit receipts to accounting department Secondary Duties may include Shop Floor Support that may include: Basic Hand / Shop Tool Ability • Read a tape measure • Acetone Reclaimer • Air Drill • Air Rachet • Band Saw • Chop Saw • Circular Saw • Cordless Drill • Die Grinders • Drill Press • Impact Gun • Radial Arm Saw • Router (cuts composite) • Router (cuts wood) • Sander • Sawzall • Screw Gun • Shear • Table Saw National Composites, LLC Job Description, Cont.
Compliance The vehicle must be maintained in accordance with National Composites LLC maintenance requirements. Employees must report all mechanical problems to their supervisor immediately Employees must report any motor vehicle incident that results in damage, injury, or a citation to their supervisor immediately Employees must have a valid chauffer's driver's license, must have their license in their possession when they are driving and adhere to all state motor vehicle laws while operating company vehicle A driver whose license is suspended, revoked or terminated must notify their direct supervisor immediately upon event Employees must carry (or know where) insurance certificates for company vehicle Employees' spouse and/or and child(ren) are not permitted to operate and/or be passengers in company vehicles Hitchhikers are not permitted in company vehicles Employees are responsible for all traffic and parking violations they receive when using company vehicles The use of cellular phones while driving is strictly prohibited; texting will result in immediate dismissal. If the use of a cellular phone is necessary, the vehicle most be in a stopped, safe capacity Modifying or adding accessories to a company vehicle is prohibited. Radar detectors are prohibited Employees are not allowed to operate vehicles at any time while under the influence of alcohol or drugs When vehicle is operated for personal use, prior permission from your direct supervisor is necessary; gas will be paid for by driver and returned to normal state of use or better Employees must sign out and back in when operating vehicle and agree to all policies
