Position Summary A growing environmental services organization is seeking a CDL Class A Driver / Operations Specialist to support transportation, material handling, and processing operations. This position is responsible for safely transporting materials between customer locations and processing facilities while assisting with equipment operation and material processing activities when not driving. This is a hands-on role requiring flexibility, excellent safety awareness, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate enjoys a combination of driving, equipment operation, and operational support responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Essential Responsibilities Transportation & CDL Operations Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, including manual transmission tractors, trailers, and roll-off equipment. Transport materials between commercial, industrial, and operational locations. Pick up, deliver, and exchange roll-off containers. Haul loaded and unloaded trailers, including live floor, dry van, and lowboy configurations. Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment. Maintain accurate electronic and/or manual records, logs, and dispatch communications. Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and applicable state and federal transportation requirements. Maintain the cleanliness and safe operating condition of assigned vehicles and equipment. Assist with onboarding and training new drivers as requested. Operations & Material Processing Assist customers with unloading and material handling. Sort, process, and prepare materials for shipment. Operate heavy equipment such as wheel loaders, excavators, and related machinery (training provided for qualified candidates). Load trailers and move materials safely throughout the facility. Assess incoming materials for quantity, type, and appropriate processing. Complete opening and closing operational procedures. Support inventory, logistics, and site maintenance activities. Assist with special projects and operational initiatives as assigned. Customer Service & Teamwork Deliver professional, courteous service to customers and business partners. Communicate effectively with team members, dispatch personnel, and customers. Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. Resolve routine customer concerns professionally and efficiently. Contribute to a positive, team-oriented workplace culture. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED. Valid Michigan Class A CDL with air brake endorsement. Clean driving record. Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience. Ability to operate a 13 speed manual transmission. Strong commitment to workplace safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to adapt to changing operational priorities. Preferred Experience with roll-off, and transfer transportation. Experience operating heavy equipment. Experience working in environmental services, logistics, transportation, construction, manufacturing, or related industries. Physical Requirements Frequently enter and exit commercial vehicles and heavy equipment. Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach throughout the workday. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely perform work around heavy equipment and moving materials. Must meet the visual and physical requirements necessary to safely operate commercial vehicles and equipment. Pay:

$26.00 - $29.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
