What we offer: NO touch freight Flexible scheduling Home Daily Local Runs, no OTR Weekend work available with additional pay (optional) 1099 with direct deposit available weekly Professionally maintained equipment 24 hour on call maintenance Starting at $1,300 and up per week We are currently hiring for 1st and 2nd shift position; local driving and you're home everyday and Weekends off! We are looking for an experienced truck driver to serve our supply chain logistics in a safe and timely manner. Job Description Monday through Friday It's approx. 8 to 11 hours per day 1st shift begins at 6 am in Brownstown, MI. 2nd shift begins at 4 pm in Brownstown, MI. You'll be driving for a fleet owner Responsibilities Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants and distribution centers Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance Plan routes and meet delivery schedules Document and log work/rest periods and time spent driving and retain fuel receipts Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Collect and verify delivery instructions Report defects, accidents or violations Skills Proven work experience as a truck driver with recent 6 years driving with 5'3 trailer Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations 2 years experience driving 10 speed manual Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc) No more than 3 points on MVR No DUI, DWI, or impaired within the last 7 year Must pass a regulated DOT drug test If interested or have any questions; please call or text Maria at (517) 763-3286
