Job Description

Job Overview Join our team as a CDL A Driver. As a Local Driver, you'll enjoy consistent routes that ensure you are home for dinner with the family instead of at a truck stop diner. As a fourth generation family owned business we value hard work and honesty. Schedules are posted on a regular basis, time off requests are taken seriously. Shifts are expected to be 11 hours a day. Training is up to two weeks; ride along to learn the routes, paperwork and sampling process for picking up raw milk. We offer premium weekend pay and benefits for full time employees. Full and part time positions available today at each location: Alma MI, St Johns MI, Cass City MI. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across designated local routes Load raw milk straight from the dairy farmers bulk tanks onto our tanker trailers High attention to detail to ensure documentation of the goods are within compliance and accurate Maintain Food Grade A cleanliness Deliver goods to our shop or dairy efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to ensure vehicle safety and compliance Manage route driving schedules effectively to meet delivery deadlines Communicate professionally with dispatchers and team members throughout the day Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record A minimum of 2 years experience operating manual transmission trucks Knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving and vehicle maintenance Strong physical stamina for loading/unloading goods, performing vehicle inspections, climbing tanker ladders, entering and exiting the truck multiple times a day, and washing exterior of units.
