Position:

Truck Driver. Full-time, permanent.

Duties:

Drive and operate tractor-trailer trucks to transport freight and goods along assigned interstate and regional routes throughout the United States; conduct pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections of vehicles, trailers and equipment; maintain records of driving hours, mileage, fuel usage, inspections, deliveries and routes in compliance with DOT regulations and electronic logging device requirements; transport, load, unload and secure cargo; coordinate with dispatchers, warehouse personnel and supervisors on pickup schedules, delivery timelines and route changes; verify bills of lading, manifests and delivery receipts; report mechanical problems, maintenance needs, accidents, delays or safety concerns; operate vehicles in varying weather, road and traffic conditions; comply with FMCSA regulations and DOT requirements; maintain the cleanliness and operational readiness of assigned vehicles and equipment.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED; 25 months of experience driving a truck; requires a valid license, foreign commercial driving license, or equivalent.

Location and travel:

Reporting and dispatch location 1000 John R Rd, Troy, MI 48083 (Oakland County). Travel is required to customer and delivery locations throughout the United States on a frequent and ongoing basis as part of assigned interstate routes, including routes through Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Georgia and Florida. Drivers report to and are dispatched from the employer's headquarters in Michigan.
