Job Description
Fick & Sons, based in Grayling, Michigan, is a long-standing, family-owned company serving Northern Michigan since 1958. We provide residential and commercial propane, heating fuel, diesel, and gasoline services, as well as heavy-duty equipment maintenance through our Diesel Garage division. We also provide services in multiple convenience stores, and hospitality services. Seeking an experienced Class B Driver, with Hazmat endorsement to perform the following duties: Delivery Load tanker truck with Propane and deliver them to customers while adhering to all Company and Governmental regulations. Operate tanker truck in accordance to Company policies and state/federal laws. Transport loads along required/best route to proper destination while observing all traffic laws and safety regulations. Complete and turn in all paperwork on a daily basis. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and pass random cleanliness inspections. Perform daily safety inspections on equipment and fill out Vehicle Inspection Report to be turned in with paperwork. Report any equipment malfunctions and/or concerns to the Manager or the garage. Have thorough knowledge of and the ability to use loading arms and pump at loading racks, use auxiliary pumps for loading and unloading of the vehicle, and use spill kits and fire extinguisher. Provide exceptional customer service Maintain a safe driving and injury record, ensuring compliance with DOT, OSHA, and CETP. Communicates professionally and effectively with team members, management, and customers. Qualifications CETP Certified. Valid Michigan CDL (Class B) with air brakes, HAZMAT and tanker endorsements. Meet Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and medical requirements. Pass substance abuse screening and agree to random substance abuse screening as required by Company Policy. Ability to perform the physical demands of the job such as lifting up to 100 lbs.
