Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled
HEAVY / MEDIUM TOW TRUCK DRIVER
to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will operate specialized tow trucks to recover, transport, and assist vehicles of various sizes, including commercial trucks and passenger cars. Your expertise in vehicle mechanics, safe cargo securement, and customer service will ensure efficient operations and satisfied clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where safety, mechanical knowledge, and proactive problem-solving are essential for success. Responsibilities Safely operate heavy and medium-duty tow trucks, including flatbed and specialized recovery vehicles, to tow vehicles across diverse locations. Perform vehicle recovery towing with precision, ensuring adherence to cargo securement protocols and safety standards. Conduct basic vehicle troubleshooting, minor mechanical repairs, and automotive diagnostics to assess vehicle condition before towing. Load and unload vehicles securely onto tow trucks using proper techniques for safe transportation. Assist with car towing, vehicle recovery operations, and mechanical repairs as needed to support fleet maintenance. Maintain accurate documentation of all towing activities, including logs of cargo loads, incident reports, and service records. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining procedures, and ensuring a positive experience during vehicle recovery or transport. Experience Proven experience operating tow trucks, especially flatbed or heavy-duty models, with a strong understanding of commercial truck driving protocols. Mechanical knowledge related to automotive diagnostics, minor repairs, and vehicle mechanics for truck drivers. Familiarity with cargo securement protocols and safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks. Prior experience in automotive repair or mechanic work is highly desirable. Strong driving skills with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) for heavy or medium trucks, including manual transmission operation. Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues quickly and effectively under pressure. Excellent conflict management skills to handle challenging situations professionally while maintaining safety standards. Drivers have choice between hourly pay or Commission with Guarantee. Experienced drivers may qualify for a hire on bonus. Must have good driver record and able to pass a pre hire drug test and have or be able to obtain a Dot Card.
