Job Description
Job Summary Join our team as a Local Class CDL A, flatbed driver and experience the convenience of being home daily! In this vital role, you will operate a tractor with 36' flatbed trailer to transport freight efficiently and safely within local routes (every day is different :), ensuring timely deliveries and pickups (ever There is no tarping of load with this job. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, combined with your knowledge of logistics cargo handling and adherence to FMCSA regulations, will help keep our operations running smoothly. This position offers a dynamic work environment where your driving skills and commitment to safety are truly valued. This position requires driver to be available Monday through Saturday (6 days). Start of route is 6am and can go as late as 4 pm depending on route. Pay is $1,200/week (+ customer tips). Direct deposited weekly. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor with 36' flatbed trailer wit moffett forklift for unloading product. Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries within designated areas Load and unload freight, managing logistics cargo handling with precision and care Drive in accordance with over-the-road (OTR) driving routes while maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency Handle hazardous or dangerous goods following proper procedures for manual handling and transportation regulations Perform vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any maintenance needs or safety concerns Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record for a minimum of 2 years. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving within local areas Familiarity with flatbed trailer, loading and strapping product. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles comfortably and safely Strong skills in GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning Experience in truck loading/unloading, manual handling of logistics cargo, and managing dangerous goods when applicable Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, manual handling proficiency, and adherence to all traffic laws Good MVR and ability to pass drug test and criminal background check are required.
