ROLE OVERVIEW
Our season kicks off in April and runs through November, with the possibility of extending into December. As a seasonal team member, you'll enjoy winters off to travel, hunt, fish, or pursue the activities you love-while still keeping your benefits all year long. As a Tractor Trailer Driver you are responsible to operate and properly maintain an End dump truck to transport material to designated location in a timely manner.
DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES

Safely operate Class A truck to transport asphalt or aggregate to job site often driving on uneven or unfinished surface. Inspect trucks for defects before and after trips and submit report indicating truck Maintains driver log according to ICC regulations as required. May operate loader to load aggregate into truck box. Loader and MSHA Training/Facial Mask Fit Required. Daily maintenance of equipment such as cleaning truck inside and out, greasing, oiling, brakes, lights and any other maintenance instructed to perform. Recognize surroundings and practice traffic awareness to maintain a safe environment Assist with plant maintenance, repairs, set up and take downs Tarp load when needed Clean spilled material/buildup off box (spill chutes, belts, side boards, ) Verify that gates are closed Complete load tickets Assist construction crews while waiting to unload Spread product Maintain proper information in truck cab Report information accurately and completely on daily timecards, truck cab information and other needed Maintain and support a safe and harassment free work Ensure OSHA, DOT, EPA, DNR, MSHA, Federal, State, and Local safety and environmental regulation compliance and attend required training. Always work safely and take action to prevent all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors. Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
(types and extent of knowledge, skills or abilities an incumbent must possess to complete the job responsibilities satisfactorily) Ability to read maps and navigate to new locations Ability to work with minimum supervision and recognize matters needing attention and initiate action Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations. Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
(minimum educational, experience, or other relevant job requirements) General education, grammar and arithmetic, GED or high school diploma or equivalent A CDL Class A (tractor-trailer) Preference given for experience driving a belly dump, flow boy, lowboy, tanker or straight truck. Must have and maintain medical card and acceptable driving record and required endorsements.
COMPENSATION
$26.00 - $34.00 per hour depending on experience.
