About Us Nisswa Sanitation is a family-friendly, locally owned small business serving the Brainerd Lakes Area. Our team is close-knit, hardworking, and committed to supporting one another. About the Role We are looking for a safe and dependable CDL Route Driver to join our team. In this role, you'll be assigned a route and will provide safe and courteous waste and recycling collection to our residential and commercial customers. What You'll Do Safely operate a commercial or residential truck on an assigned route. Navigate through neighborhoods—including tight or congested areas—using strong backing and maneuvering skills. Enter and exit the truck as needed throughout the route to position carts or containers for collection. Perform pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections and maintain accurate daily driver logs. Perform basic maintenance and maintain cleanliness of the truck. Provide respectful and friendly service to customers and represent Nisswa Sanitation's values in the community. Required Qualifications Must be 18 or older and authorized to work in the U.S. High school diploma or GED. Valid Class A or Class B CDL with no air brake restriction. Clean driving record. Ability to maintain a valid DOT health card and pass all required screenings. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs occasionally. Frequent bending, twisting, and repetitive motions, as well as sitting for extended periods. Ability to enter and exit the truck as needed to service customers. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical evaluation, and physical assessment. Compliance with all DOT drug testing requirements, including marijuana testing.
