Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to operate tractor trailers on regional routes, primarily from Brainerd to the Twin Cities area. This role involves day cab assignments with home daily, focusing on drop and hook freight. The position requires overnight travel as part of the regular schedule, ensuring drivers maintain a consistent routine and return home each day. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial truck driving and a strong commitment to safety and reliability. Responsibilities Operate tractor trailers on regional routes, adhering to all safety and traffic regulations Handle drop and hook freight exclusively, with no responsibility for loading or unloading cargo Maintain a clean driving record and ensure compliance with company policies and DOT regulations Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and readiness Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates or issues during trips Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and other required documentation Ensure proper handling of freight while in transit, securing loads as necessary Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with clean driving record, minimum 9 months experience Doubles/Triples endorsement or ability to acquire upon hire Proven experience operating tractor trailers, preferably on regional routes Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and maintenance checks Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety standards for commercial driving Excellent time management skills with the ability to adhere to schedules Good communication skills for effective coordination with dispatch and team members Ability to handle overnight travel as part of the regular work schedule Dependability, professionalism, and a commitment to safety are essential
