Job Summary The Route Driver will be responsible for picking up dead hogs, cattle and meat scraps from farm sites on a daily route and returning to the Chatfield MN Facility.
Work Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. Wednesday is clean-up day or other task.
Flexible Start Time:
6:00am.
Work Hours Per Day:
10 - 11 hours. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. Must be able to handle outside elements year round Collects and inspects products at time of pick up for any foreign material at customer location. Required to maintain an Electronic DOT log. Responsible and operates vehicle in accordance with Company, federal, state and local regulations. Conducts pre and post trip vehicle inspections; observes company policy, procedures and safety rules. Maintains excellent customer relations by providing quality, professional service at all times. Responsible for completing all company required paperwork in accordance with company policies on a daily basis. Attendance at all safety meetings required; may be asked to serve on Safety Committee. All other duties as assigned by management Minimum Qualifications Must have a high school diploma or GED. Must be 21 years of age. Valid Class B driver's license. Preferred Qualifications Class A driver's license preferred. Prior route experience within a customer oriented environment. Ability to work well with internal staff and external customers. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers. Physical Demands Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch. Occasionally lifts up to 75 lbs. Occasionally required to load deadstock and/or bins with assistance from a wench on their vehicle. Regularly required reach with hands and arms. Work Environment Job functions will be carried out in a commercial motor vehicle, customer locations, and plant environment.
