Job Description

TRANSPORT DRIVER JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for safe operation of a transport truck and trailer to move petroleum products on schedule for our customer. All customer interaction is friendly, honest, professional, and focused on delivering the best service available in our industry. If you are safety oriented, like to be home daily, and take pride in everything you do this is a great fit for you!
REQUIREMENTS
v High School Diploma or equivalent v Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements v Capable of lifting (100 lbs.), pulling, and climbing in and out of a truck several times a day v Able to work out doors in all weather and driving conditions v Ability to work a schedule that may require some holiday and weekend shifts v Must be comfortable operating heavy duty large vehicles (including full size tractor trailer combination) v Work with minimal supervision v Attentive with good observation skills v Work well with others v Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
RESPONSIBILITIES
v Deliver petroleum products from the terminals or bulk plants to customer locations in a safe and timely manner v Operation of full size tractor trailer combination. This could include tanker, flatbed, end dump, and van trailer v Operation of computerized loading systems at the terminals v Understand and accurately complete invoice paperwork v Complete daily truck and trailer inspections v Accurately load and unload the proper product consistently v Observes work carefully in order to anticipate problems early and adopts safety measures v Oversees the safety aspects of work environment and makes sure they are upheld and renewed accordingly v Agrees to the protection rules and policies in transporting, handling, and supplying procedures and methods of petroleum products v Keep written accounts of the work done every day v Deliver exceptional customer service and present oneself in a professional manner v Keep vehicle in organized and clean state at all times v Negotiate time in order to prevent job losses v Travelling and acclimating to all types of seasons, whether night or day v Driving carefully on hills and bad weather circumstances and managing truck safely out of crowded places v Plans trip and manages road time to ensure loads are picked up and delivered according to schedule as assigned v Communicates with base to maintain accurate and up-to-date ETA v Advises base immediately when conditions change and an assigned load cannot be picked up or delivered on schedule
Pay:
$23.00 - $29.00 per hour
