Description:

If you take pride in doing things the right way, value safety, and want a driving job where you're treated with respect, Plaisted Companies is hiring a Regional Propane Driver in Elk River. In this essential role, you will operate a tractor with a tanker trailer to pick up and deliver propane to Regional facilities. Your commitment to maintaining safety and efficiency will be crucial as you accurately complete paperwork such as driver sheets, logs, and equipment inspections. A CDL Class A license with Hazmat and Tank endorsements is required. Responsibilities Drive assigned tractor/tanker trailer to pick up propane and deliver to assigned facilities. Safely and efficiently transfer product between transport and bulk storage. Perform required daily vehicle inspections. Maintain an active driver's license and medical card; operate in full compliance with DOT regulations. Maintain logbook and records; complete pre-trip/post-trip inspections and document defects. Ensure material is properly secured and within weight limits. Communicate with your supervisor throughout the day. Maintain delivery schedules to meet customer expectations. Submit delivery documents after each delivery cycle (daily). Represent the company professionally to support customer loyalty. Follow all company policies, rules, and safety procedures Provide excellent customer service with clear, professional communication

One year of experience driving commercial gravel trucks. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Demonstrate the proven ability to work with teams. Must have mathematical aptitude, written and verbal communication skills. Experience and awareness of safe truck loading and driving practices. Physical Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods. This position will occasionally require lying down, bending, and stooping. Must have sufficient mobility to navigate through the pit area and customer locations. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds utilizing team lifting or mechanical assistance as needed or when reaching the current OSHA restrictions. Must be able to see and hear normal traffic signals, road equipment, and hazards. Must be able to clearly see and distinguish colors and patterns. Mental Must have the ability to use and understand simple arithmetic and algebraic equations. Must be able to effectively communicate with a predominantly English-speaking customer base. Must be able to work in an enclosed environment with other people.
