Job Description

US Foods, a leading national foodservice distributor, is seeking a CDL Local Driver to support our wholesale trade operations. In this role, you'll operate CDL-class trucks on local routes, delivering fresh, frozen, and dry food products, equipment, and supplies to restaurants, healthcare, and hospitality customers. You'll safely load and unload product, verify orders, complete paperwork, and provide outstanding customer service at each stop. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL-class trucks on local routes to deliver foodservice products to customers Load and unload products using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and liftgates as needed Verify orders, complete delivery paperwork, and obtain customer signatures Provide excellent customer service and represent US Foods professionally at each stop Inspect vehicle before and after trips and report any maintenance or safety issues Follow all DOT, company, and food safety regulations and policies Maintain accurate logs and comply with hours-of-service requirements Collaborate with dispatch and warehouse teams to resolve delivery issues and delays Handle returns, shortages, and refused products per company procedures Support continuous improvement, safety, and performance initiatives Required Skills CDL Class A truck operation Local route navigation and trip planning DOT compliance and hours-of-service logging Vehicle inspection and basic troubleshooting Loading/unloading with pallet jack and liftgate Order verification and delivery documentation Customer service in B2 B settings Time management and route efficiency Safe lifting and material handling Knowledge of foodservice distribution processes
