(Department of Transportation) regulations DOT Physical Certification Manual transmission Full Job Description As a Class A Driver for Kansas City Composting , you will become an integral part in our process of creating rich compost.What You'll Do :
Transport materials to various local site locations, retail outlets, and customer addresses. Unloading/loading materials to ensure safety and quality standards are followed. Ensure safe and timely delivery, following dispatch instructions meticulously. Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections, promptly reporting any concerns or issues. Operate tractor trailers, tandems, roll-offs, and/or dump trucks with precision and care. Adhere to state and federal laws, as well as company policies and DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch and adapt to changing circumstances. Potential for occasional out-of-town work - always home on the weekends. Important things to know :Language Skills :
Able to read and understand English.CDL License :
Possess a Class A CDL in good standing (all states except California) with a current DOT medical card.Clean Driving Record :
No DUIs, no major violations, and no more than a combo of 3 at-fault accidents or violations in the past 3 years.Manual Transmission :
Skilled in driving manual transmission trucks ( some automatic transmission trucks available ).Safety Awareness :
Prioritizes safety in all aspects of work.Weekend Availability :
Open to working Saturdays. Mostly available during the busy season mid-February to late June.Physical Fitness :
