Apply Now Purpose:
The Central Kitchen Driver delivers bakery and deli products to the stores on a timely basis while ensuring each customer receives "Extra Step" customer service.
Job Functions:
Follow proper lifting techniques as defined by Dierbergs Safety Director Load and unload trucks Set up orders to go out for delivery Monitor the accuracy of orders Check for complete loads before departure Check the accuracy of shipment upon delivery Maintain a clean and safe vehicle; check truck daily for mechanical defects and cleanliness; record daily truck checks Assist in production of product and cleanliness of the shop Work in freezers with temperatures as low as -20 degrees Climb ladders to clean or store items Disassemble and reassemble industrialized equipment Receive deliveries from vendors Lift up to 60 lbs. Push and pull 6-foot tall carts with loads that weigh up to 265 lbs. Keep work area neat and sanitary by using company approved cleaners and equipment May be cross-trained in other departments as needed Expectations for all

Qualifications:
Possess a current minimum Class B license Pass driving physical and drug screening; D.O.T. certification Have at least 2 years CDL driving experience Clean driving record; no chargeable accidents or tickets Basic reading and math skills Work well with co-workers and support the Dierbergs "Extra Step" customer service philosophy Shifts are typically scheduled between 2:30am-12pm This description is representative only and is not inclusive of the tasks that an associate in the position may be required to perform.
