Job Description

US Foods is hiring a CDL Local Driver to safely deliver foodservice products to restaurants, healthcare, and hospitality customers in your local area. In this field-based role, you will operate a Class A CDL truck, complete multiple stops daily, and ensure accurate, damage-free deliveries. You'll load and unload products using pallet jacks or hand trucks, follow DOT and food safety regulations, maintain detailed logs, and provide professional, customer-focused service. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL truck for local deliveries to foodservice customers Load, unload, and verify products against delivery documents Follow all DOT, company, and food safety regulations and standards Maintain accurate delivery logs, invoices, and electronic records Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues Provide professional, customer-focused service at each stop Collaborate with dispatch and warehouse to resolve delivery issues Handle products carefully to prevent damage and ensure quality Adhere to company safety policies and participate in safety meetings Support continuous improvement and productivity goals Required Skills CDL truck operation Route navigation and planning DOT compliance Vehicle inspection and basic troubleshooting Load securement and material handling Electronic logging devices (ELD) use Customer service Time management Recordkeeping and documentation Food safety and product handling
